My artistic work shows an interest in fictions shaped through popular objects, stories and sounds, based on imaginary facts rather than on real facts. In some aspects, my works are fictional documents, showing the backside of surreal inventions.
Like a popular encyclopaedia, those objects come from the past and my thought about fiction covers a memory activity. It is necessary to clarify that the use of the word surreal implies that an overpass reality exists in my work, and secondly, there is another supernatural dimension, boosted by the resurgence of these inventions, archaeological sounds and documents.
My artistic practice is primarily focused on painting and music and bifurcates from there to a variety of installations. I received my bachelor degree in 2006 from Laval University in Quebec. The same year, I left Canada for France, and my art experiences have never been the same. I pursued technical training in the art of Lacquer, at the National Arts and Crafts Superior School Olivier de Serres in Paris.
In 2009, I got a Master of Arts at the Sorbonne University in Paris. I focused my interest on fiction and aesthetics of popular objects. Following that, my participation in the realization of art in environment has become active in different art centers in France, Belgium and others. In 2009, I joined an art residency called 'La Metive' (France), where I have been teaching and managing kids' projects as well. This work led to an outdoor exhibition, Impossible Park, of land art projects realized with college and high school students. Sharing ideas to live in an artistic way with nature and environment is one of my preoccupations.
